Overview
The owners grew up in Ipoh and bought a 1930s shophouse to return to. We reopened the covered airwell as a small garden and arranged the living, dining and kitchen around it.
Original encaustic tiles were lifted, cleaned and relaid in the entrance. New work is in plain oak and limewash so the old details stand out.
