Overview
We assembled and glazed the bridge on the podium below, then lifted it in one piece with a hired 400-tonne crane under a full road closure between midnight and 6am.
Sliding bearings at one end let the towers move independently, and the steel was fire-protected with an intumescent coating to the engineer's specification.
