Our story
Made with the plants we grew up with.
Sirih Botanics began in 2019 at a kitchen table in Ipoh, with a pot of boiled sirih leaves and a grandmother who swore by them.
Our founder grew up watching her grandmother wash her face with water boiled with sirih leaves, rub coconut oil into her arms after bathing and mix turmeric paste before every family wedding. Years later, working in a lab in Penang, she wondered how many of those habits actually held up.
Some did, beautifully. Sirih leaf really is clarifying; rice water really does soften. So we built a small range around four plants, kept the formulas short and paired each plant with modern ingredients that do the heavy lifting.
Today a team of six makes every product in our Ipoh studio, in batches of 300 or fewer. We buy leaves and rice from growers in Perak and Kedah, test every batch, and answer every WhatsApp message ourselves.

From leaf to bottle
How a batch is made
- Sourced nearby. Sirih and pandan leaves from smallholders in Perak; rice from a Kedah paddy cooperative.
- Extracted gently. Leaves are washed, dried at low heat and extracted in water and glycerin, not harsh solvents.
- Mixed in small batches. 300 bottles or fewer, so every batch is fresh and traceable by its number.
- Checked before it ships. pH, texture and stability are checked for every batch, and each formula is notified to KKM (sample).
What we promise
Local plants first
Every formula starts with a plant from a Malaysian garden or kitchen, not a trend.

Honest labels
Full ingredient lists on every page, and no promises a skincare product cannot keep.
Sample site: the cruelty-free claim, patch testing and KKM notification shown here are samples for this demo, not real certifications.
